Compulsory Training.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—As this question refers to , many young men in this town, I should be much obliged if you could find space in your valuable columns to explain the whole matter. The ■ (proclamation states that aU those between the age of 14 to 20, inclusive, are required to register within, a specified time. Are those who have turned 21 years of age out of the training altogether? Thanking you in anticipation, and hoping that I am not trespassing too much on your valuable time.—l am, etc., “TWENTY-ONE." Details of the Proclamation were pqblished in Thursday last’s issue. Anyone over 21 years of age on the 2nd of November, 1910, is exempt from service. All young men under 21 on the 2nd of November, 1910, must serve till they reach the age of 25 in the Territorials,’and in the reserve up to 30. Lads of 14 to 18 serve in the Senior Cadets, then from 18 to 25 servo in the Territorials, and from. 25 to 30 in tlie Reserve.
