A youth named Stott hag been committed for trial for robbing the Footscray railway booking office. The proceeds—£7— were spent at races and theatres, and in lollies. He was remanded on a charge of attempting to stick up the Elizabeth Street Post Office. A man armed with a revolver entered the Elizabeth Street branch of the Post Office, at Melbourne on the 15th inst., and threatened to shoot the postmistress unless she handed over the .contents of the till. He started to climb the counter, but noticed another woman at the telephone box and bolted. ,
