NATIONAL CELEBRATIONS. Press Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. ROME, March 27. Cannon salvoes at midnight ushered in the festival held to celebrate Italian unity. The utmost animation ivas displayed in clubs and cafes, and a patriotic demonstration was held. Cheers were given for Italy and Rome, and the national anthem was played. Many houses were illuminated. The Senate yesterday adopted a unanimous address of homage to the King, which stated that the virtues of the Monarch had made the dynasty one with the people, and added that devotion to the dynasty, which was formerly sentiment and flic principal, was now a tradition. AN IMPOSING PROCESSION. Received March 28, 10.15 a.m. ROME, March 27. Tho King and Queen and Royal princes participated in a procession to the Quirinal and the Capitol. The streets were crowded, and there ivas a large assemblage in tbe senatorial hall. Nathan, the Socialist Mayor of Rome, delivered a speech eulogising tho founders of Italy.
