Following^is the value of the principal items of export from New Zealand for the half-month ended March ,15th:—Butter, <£100,988; cheese, .£126,220; beef (frozen), £BT,do7; mutton (frozen) carcases, ,£118,880; mutton (frozen legs and pieces), .£5117; lamb (frozen), .£199,320; wheat, 453881; oats, .£908; potatoes, £179; hemp, 417132; tow, £1709; kauri gum, .£21,523: grain and pulse (other than wheat and oats), 415305; hops, 4:65; hides, 417569; skins, £37,841 ; tallow, 4141,745; timber, £12,128; wool, £480,146; gold, £130,543. The total for the half-month was £1,332,216, compared with £1,697,843 for the corresponding period last year
