(Per United Press Association.) GISBOENE, March 25.

Interviewed at Wairoa, the Minister of Public Works said he expected the railway would be running to Motu in eighteen months. The railway construction would revolutionise Gisborne to the extent that people did not realise. The special need of the East Coast was a greater population and better utilisation of the land. Mr Mo Kenzie expected to reach Wellington on Monday night. Leaving there three weeks ago he will have travelled a thousand miles mostly in the Bay of Plenty electorate. He has only had one sliglit ehower during the three weeks.
