TRAGEDY IN KENT.
MAN AND WIFE FOUND DEAD. Press Association.—Telegraph Received March 25, 8 a.m. LONDON, March 24. . Mr and Mrs Berndt were discovered, dead in a lonely villa near Bethersdeir, Kent. The husband had apparently shot his wife and then committed suicide. The pair lived in mysterious seclusion. It is stated that Berndt,; who was a stockbroker, bad been in Australia, and was interested in racing.
MURDER AND SUICIDE.
Received March 25, 10.55 a.m. LONDON, March 24
Berndt left a letter stating that his wife was suffering from hallucinations that everybody was her enemy. He was unable to see her suffer, and decided to kill her, and then commit suicide. A verdict was returned to that effect.
