Rioting has been resumed at Clydachvale. The mob gathered on the hillside awaiting a few mine officials, who were greeted with volleys of stones and forced to take refuge in a hotel. A strong police force attempted to protect them, but the mob stoned the hotel. The police charged the hillside, and there was a severe conduct, the police using their batons, and the rioters sticks and stones. Eventually the rioters were dislodged, A number of the police and strikers were badly injured.

The executive continue arranging for a ballot to be taken on Saturday. A force of military is held on readiness at Tonypandy.
