THE SANTOS REBELLION.

Advices hy the island steamer states that the native trouble at Santos is the outcome of long-standing quarrels between the ; coast and inland natives. Numbers have been killed on both sides. The punitive expedition has arrived, and departed for the seat of the trouble, which, it is expected, will soon be quelled.
