(Per United Press Association.) GISBORNE, March 23

The Harbour Board yesterday conferred with Mr Holmes, Engincer-in-Chief, in regard to coping with the range at the entrance of the river harbour, and his suggestions met with general approval. Further details are to be obtained. Mr Holmes also had a conference with the Mayor and borough engineer regarding differences of opinion on municipal engineering matters, on which it was agreed to accept Mr Holmes’ decision, and an amicable agreement was arrived at. The directors of the Gisborne Oil Company have decided to send their manager in Sydney to expedite the shipment of plant that is being ordered for shallow boring.
