DETAILS OF PROCLAMATION.

(Per United Press Association.) 1 WELLIHGTOH, March 22. On April 3 a proclamation relating to compulsory military training will he ismcd. The ’proclamation, which has already ' icon prepared, provides that “every male Inhabitant of Hew Zealand who, bn the irst- day of Mrch, 1911, is between the ■ IH -es of .14 and 20 ybars (inclusive), and j.vlin is a British, subject and has resided Un Hew . Any, person to whom Urn notice applies who fails to take any steps necessary to secure., his registration as aforesaid is liable to a fine of £5, and shall not'be eligible for employment in any branch of the Government service. The registration form requires the signatory to fix his full name and address, date 'of .’birth, occupation, name of employer. Whether married or single, and military service (if any). THE PROCLAMATION. On April 1 the newly-appointed area; officers and non-commissioned officers are to be in their respective stations ready to proceed with the work of registering and enrolling the young men of the country who are eligible for military training under the compulsory clauses- of the Defence Act. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that every male inhabitant of New Zealand , who, on the Ist day of March, 1911, ; is between the ages of fourteen and twenty years (inclusive), and who is a British subject, and has resided in : New Zealand for at least six mouths, IS HEREBY REQUIRED within 60 days of the.date of this notice to fill in a prescribed form of registration in respect of military training under the Defence Acta, and to post the same to the nearest Defence Office, or In deliver it to any Officer or Non-commis-sioned Officer of the Permanent Staff ■ in the territorial area in which the applicant for registration resides. Forms of application may be obtained ajt any Post .■■ Office or Pdjice Station. No postage is required where the application is posted as aforesaid. '! THE REGISTRATION FORM. . The form of registration is a simple affair, requiring the signatory to testify to his full name, address, whether he is a British subject, date of birth, occupation, name of employer, and whether married or single, and to answer the following questions: Are yon at present serving in any military force? If so, state name of corps or unit, and state length of service. • Have yon already served in any military force? If so, state name of corps or unit and length of service therein. Are you an apprentice; if so, with whom able for mounted rifle work, or can you provide one for such .service? If so, are you willing to use it for your military training? Are youan apprentice; if so, with whom arc you serving? If attending a primary, secondary, or other educational establishment, name of school, etc., to be stated.
