SAN FRANCISCO, Mar C/ h 19. A morality crusade has been started at Longbeach, the famous surfing resort near San Francisco, and a great deal of amusement has been got ontof the propaganda of the reformers. They arc agitating for better observance of the proprieties on the beach and also on the theatrical stages of the city, and they want, so they say, more adequate costumes to be worn, neck to knee at least. As a consequence stage managers have been sending their audiences into roars of laughter by wrapping the legs of tables and chair? in sheets and sacking.
