ALLEGED FALSE IMPRISONMENT

Peter Varawa has commenced a new action against the Howard-Smith Shipping Company claiming £25,000 damages for false imprisonment in connection with the sale of the steamer Peregrine during the Russo-Japanese, war. In a former action Varawa obtained a verdict for £SOOO, but the Appeal Court upset the decision.
