Free* Association.—Telegraph.—Copyright. NEW YORK, January 18. At the Democratic Convention at Baltimore, speakers attributed the reeeut victory to the country’s wish for a tariff revision. Beferences to the Presidential election in 1912 indicated that the candidate would be either Champ Clarke or Governor Harmon. It is stated that reciprocity is progressing. The main outlines of an agreement have been reached. The United States is seeking admission‘to the woodpulp agreement, and it is probable that additional experts will arrive in Washington from Canada. The Democrats announce that they would have arranged reciprocity when in power.
