RAETIHI SALE. FREEMAN R. .TAGKgON. AND CO.’S REPORT. Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report as follows:—At our Raetihi sale on Friday, 13th inst., we had a good yarding of cattle and sheep. Cattle met with keen demand, and with the exception of a few odd beasts everything yarded changed 'hands at satisfactory prices. Sheep were well competed for, and we quitted.all but a couple of .pens, before the sale closed. We quote:— Cows and salves £4 15s to £6, fat cows £4 15s to £5. forward cows £4' to £4 15s, springers £5 2s 6d to £5.195, empty cows , £3. to £3 16s, 3-year bullocks £6 10s, 25-year steers £4 10s to £5, 3-year heifers £4, 18month steers £3 to £3 5s 6d, yearlings £2 14s to £2 16s. weaners £1 6s. woolly wethers 17s 6d, woolly ewe lambs 19s, 2-tooth ewes 14s 6d. fat wethers 13s 6d,' fat’ ewes 11s 2d and 12s, 4 and 6-tooth ewes 13s; 6d, aged ewes 7s 4d, lambs 7s 4d. ' , STOCK AND SHARE QUOTATIONS; Messrs Pairbnrn and Silk, sharebrokers, Wanganui, report as follows: INVESTMENT; STOCK.
The above quotations are subject to a brokerage of 1 j per cent., payable by both buyer and seller. The mining quotations are those ruling in Auckland to-day.
