At a, meeting of the Public Service Superannuation Board a committee was set up to inquire, into the rates of interest allowed by the Public Trust on the superannuation fund investments, and as to the charge made by that office for dealing with the fund. A committee was also set up to 'draft a, regulation dealing with officers on leave without pay and the amount to be paid by them, while absent on such leave. The decision of the Supreme Court on the question of members of the Police Department who are now merged into the Public Service ' Superannuation Fund being able to pay for broken service was considered, and it was decided that all applications to pay for such broken service would 'bo considered up to March 31st. The amount to the credit of the fund < u December 31st, last was 254,015, an increase of 103,675 on . the- corresponding quarter.of last year. The total annual amount ..of-retiring Allowances and mu ti-tles-to: widows and children on the schedule for last,meeting was £l5B 14s lOd.
