The Tinles, recalling Mr Fisher’s acceptance of the invitation to attend the Imperial Conference, recalls the fact that the idea of inviting tolonial Labour statesmen to an informal conference in 1911, hoping that it would be a prelude to a standing conference of Labour leaders of the Empire, originated with Mr Ramsay Macdonald, in the belief that it would be beneficial to both sides. l ■
