MOTHER DECLARED INSANE. Press Association.—Telegraph.— Copyright. Eeceived April 28, 9 a.ip.' , MELBOURNE, April 28. Mrs Clugaton, who was charged with the murder of her three children in December last, was found ’ not' guilty on the ground of insanity... She was ordered to be detained.
It was cabled on December 31. that a woman named Lena Clugston, a farm labourer’s wife, shot her four children and herself with a. pea rifle. The murdered children were named Maggie (aged 7), Violet (aged 3), Rosie (aged 8), and Willie (aged 2).
