The , Senate adopted tlje -report of the special committee on Mr Lemieux’s (Post-master-General) Bill, placing cable - companies .under railway commissions control. Tlie Bill was amended to permit a commercial cable company to retain its privileges in Canada by special legislation. The Bill will be read a third time to-morrow. The Canadian House of’Commons passed the Investigation of Combines Bill.
