The Minister of Education informs the executive of. the Society, for .the Promotion of the Health of Women and Children that Miss Herbert was not blamable for the recent death of an infant, and he declines, to order the use of “humanised” food in homes. He says Hie medical treatment of infants must be restricted to medical men. and intimates that arrangements will be' made whereby approved medical officers will always be available in future to attend to children in licensed houses.
