WANGANUI CHRISTIAN CONVENTION

A meeting of the executive was held on Holiday, in St. Paul’,Class-room with the president (Rev. A.T.. Wilson) in the -nan-. The Revs., J. D,' 1 McKenzie, 8.D.. I. A. Luxford, and E....Hailey have accepted invitations to-sifhs ex-officio members, pending the' general meeting. The services of Mr J.- A. 7 BridgwaW as treasurer have unfortunately been lost by his removal to Tiniaru. but Mr H. E. S Taylor has consented to discharge -the duties pro tem. , Correspondence was read from Mr Brhdioy, who is at present rtf Auckland, in vviuch ho states that he is looking forward io coming, and asks that much earnest prayer may be _offered. for without that tile truest teaching is of small avail. f?* e . ac^on °f the general secretary in notifying the- ministers on the Council outside .Wanganui at once,'so that the announcement of the meetings could be made in their churches last Sunday ■ was confirmed. .

It was resolved to hold a midday prayer meeting in St. Paul’s Class-room on Wednesday, May 4, from 12.30 to 1.30 p.m.! ■ or. business men, and another on Saturdays, April 30 and May. 7. in the classroom below the Baptist ‘ Church at 8 p.iri., open to all. 1 ’

Tins will moan a strong volume of prayer in the Old, Country at the actual time of meeting, f Circulars with requests for prayer go all over Now Zealand and a large number also to Australia. ...
