Speaking at the Eight Hours Day luncheon, Mr Fisher declared that the Labour Party would not be vindictive' to the peril of any party or interest, and would cultivate the friendship of fhe Stats Parliaments within their proper sphere. It was gratifying to find that the naval policy oi the Labour Party had been unreservedly accepted. Mr Fisher was not inclined to discuss Colonel Kirkpatrick’s appointment as Inspector-General of the Common‘.calth forces. He considers the question ought not to be made a political one.
