The attendance was good, and competition very animated, the buyers being keen for business at prices which are slightly in excess, of rates ruling at last sale.' Pieces were the only sorts easier in price. Prices current were as below:— Wool.—Crossbred, rough, seedy, etc., 7d to BJd per lb; crossbred fine, 8d to 9d; pieces, locks, etc;, 2Jd to 5Ad. Skins.—Crossbreds, fine 8d to 9d; crossbreds 7d to 8d; lambs’, woolly 7-J-d to BJd, shorn 5Jd to 7d; half-woolled crossbreds, 6d to 7£d; dead and damaged 2d to s|d. ■ ■ 1 ; Hides.—Heavy ox, ' 7id to 7 7-8 d; medium qx, 7d to 7|d; light ox, 6|d'to 7Jd; cows', 6jd to 6 7-8 d; faulty hides, 4td to 6fd; calf, sound BJd to 9id, damaged 4id to 7<l.
