Press Association.—Tele? ran h.—Conr right LONDON, April 21. Sir George Reid has issued Lord Kitchener’s memorandum on Australian defence. The London Press publish several leaders, and summaries of the subject. The Morning Post declares that the cardinal principle of the memorandum is applicable to Britain. Seven years hence the Australians will have insensibly learned the meaning of discipline. This education will gradually transfigure the social and political life' of the Commonwealth and give a new significance to the spiritual bond uniting it with the Empire.
