A special inquiry is being held re the holiday runaway goods train between Lancefield and Sunbury. For some unexplained reason the brakes failed, and the train travelled at the rate' of 60 miles an hour. A departmental foreman, who was travelling on the van, pluckily climbed from a truck and put on the hand brakes, which brought the train to a standstill.
