Answering Mr Robert Blatohford’s quotation from the Chronicle of March 16 re Krupp's, the Chronicle states that the figures there given; were not the editorial’s but were extracted from a correspondent’s contribution and adds: The Chronicle was officially informed that Krftpps, in the closing month of 1900, employed 31,000 at Essen, the only works where guns are made.
