'That in the opinion of this congregation any Bill providing for the military training of the young men of this Dominion will be unsatisfactory unless provision is made for the entire abolition of the canteen for the supply of intoxicating liquors in connection with all military gatherings. It therefore urges the Premier and the Minister of Defence and the members of the House to amend th* Defence Bill now before Parliament in this direction "
