DEATH IN A GAOL.

| (Per United Press Association.) AUCKLAND, November 29. A man named William Henry Miller, arrested at 1.30 p.m. on Saturday on a charge of theft, wa« taken to the Newmarket Police Station and put in a cell. At 3.10 o'clock he was found lying on the floor with his head on the corner of a wooden bench. Two doctors were sent for, and on arrival they pronounced life extinct.
