Nineteen thousand Spanish troops have occupied Mount Adlaten. dominating the roadways and waterways towards the *nterior of Morocco, and they are now fortifying these places. The Moors did not re sist. The Spanish Cabinet has- decided not to continue the forward campaign, and the troops will return at General Marina's discretion. The information conveyed in the above cable that Spain does not intend to prosecute the war any fuither. and that the troops will bo withdrawn at General Marana'» discretion, may be due to the fact that, according to a PariJon journal, recently Breat Britain, through the ordinary diplomatic channels in Madrid, in distinct .terms advised the Spanish Government against any extension ol the operations in the Riff country or any occupation of the territory which might give rise to international complications.
