Report by Otago Trades and Labour Council Executive

The Suggested Remedy.

DUNEDIN, July 23. rAt a special meeting of fhe Otago Trades and Labour Council last night the executive submitted a report on unemployment.

The report stated that the executive is of opinion that the question of unemployment can only be solved through industry being organised on scientific lines, having a, basis of production for use instead of. for profit, and that this can only be brought about by the instruments of production, distribution, and exchange being in the hands of the State.
