Not Understood,

TO THB EDTTOK.

Sir, — As so many of the Masonic fraternity have interviewed me re Freemasons in the Boer War, quoted by me at Mr McNab's meeting, I write asking permission to remove any misimpression. It was my contention that to pursue militarism was to eliminate brotherhood, and gave my quotation from Magazine (?). That this was answered by Mr Keesing quoting tho oath of allegiance to the King does not prove there is not a higher allegiance — fhat to God and the brotherhood — the unwritten law of every craft. I did not expect Mr Keesing to refer to ray other contention, that we should — to have justice — placed before us in a propaganda of this Irind the method by which war would become impossible, 'i.e., nationalisation of the land, means of production, distribution, and exchange. This would further develop brotherhood, and make possible the realisation of peace on earth and goodwill towards men. — I am, etc. J. H. FOED. June 10, 1909.
