THE TRAWLING INDUSTRY.

A Settlement

NAPIER, April 22. A setlement of the trawling dispute was brought about this afternoon, when the employers and representatives of the Hawke's Bay Fishermen's Union held 'a conference, with Mr P. Hally, Conciliation Commissioner, in the chair. The employees are to receive wages, plus commission on the gross catch The conditions respecting the trawlers Phantom, Countess, and Sir William Wallace are to continue as at present, or to be changed to the new system if so desired. The employers agxee to have a clause inserted in future accident insurance policies in order that the men shall be covered whilst working under the new system. The agreement is to have a duration of two years.
