The C.C. and D. Company's cable, says that there is a slight improvement in lamb values. Forequarters of beef have fallen one-eighth. To-day's quotations — Canterbury mutton 3|d; Napier, Wellington, and North Island 2}d. Lamb— First 4sd, second 4fd. Beef. — Hinds 3^, fores 2sd.
