The Harden-Yon Moltke Charges

Count Kuno von Moltke, as co-prosecu-tor, offered to abandon his-prosecution for slander, if Herr Harden withdrew his charge of immorality. Harden agreed, but the Public Prosecutor proceeded with a re-trial, the result of which was that Harden was fined 600 marks. Von Moltke swore that the imputations against himself were baseless.

OTTAWA, April 21. The Hon. W. S. Fielding, Dominion Minister of Finance, speaking in the liou6e of Commons at Ottawa, estimated the revenue for 1 tue_pas:> year at 84,500,000 dollars, or 12 per cent, below that of tiie previous year, but said there would be a surplus of % million and a half dollars, owing to the reduction of the ordinary expenditure.
