(Per Doited Preae Association). THEN THAU, April 21^ The weather is threatening the course in capital order, and there is a fair attendance. Results: —
Trial Hurdle Handicap. — Exmoor 1, Whatakura 2, Kairoma 3. Scratched — Master Douglas. Won easily. Time — 3min 19 l-ssec.
Waiwitn Handicap — Toa Tuhi "1, -Mfirtyrium 2, t^an Fcrdando 3 All started. Won by a neck, a head separating the second and third horsts. Time, 1.34.
Silverstream Handicap — Miss Mischief 1, Vinco 2, Black Pearl 3. Also started— Waiwareware and Togo. Won comfortably. Time, 1.31. Thompson Handicap. — Aborigine 1, Consolation 2, Sir Tristram 3. Scratched — Whistlecraft, Maiora. Aborigine led all the way, and won easily by a length and a half. Master Soult was fourth, and Czar Kolohol fifth. Time, lmin 43sec.
'Mr G. Currie, of Kai Iwi, Wanganui, has sold the half-brother by Euroclydon to Dusky Morn to Mr T. Bristol, of Wanganui, who used to race Swift (dam of Dusky Morn), light, and In the Van. Last season Mr Currie sent Swift and a couple of other mares on a visit to San Fran, and each is in foal. The price paid for the fluroclydon — Swift gelding was about .£2OO.
The New Zealand bred Wharekura cut his shoulder so badly in the Hurdle Race on the first day of the A.J.C. Autumn Meeting that it is doubtful if he will not yet have to be destroyed.
