A lot of visiting liorsos have already arrived, and each succeeding train will bring more, while a number ot trotting enthusiasts are also arriving from all parts, in anticipation of witnessing some nigh-class trotting under excellent management. In this connection it may be mentioned that Mr Selby Morton has all the arrangements well in, hand, and everything that can be done to ensure the successful couduct of the sport and the enjoyment of the club's patrons is being done. It may ■be stated that 17 have accepted for the Maiden, 7 ioMJthe pony, 16 tor the Wanganui Cup, 12 are left in the Hammond, and 10 in the Castlecliff Handicap, while no fewer than 23 have cried content in the President's Handicap. It will thus be seen that Mr J. H. Pollock's adjustments have given great .satisfaction, and the result should be some very exciting trotting.

Mr Tom Nixon, of the New Criterion Hotel, has been successful in the tender for the booth at the forthcoming trotting meeting on Thursday and Saturday next.

_A meeting of the committee of the club wm be held to-night a-t 7.30 o'clock to arrange various matters in connection with the meeting, and a full attendance is requested.

Bookmakers are reminded that they must apply for licenses before 6.30 p.m. to-morrow.

The service© of the Garrison Band have been secured -for both days of the meeting, so that patrons may look forward to hearing some delightful music. The luncheon room and tea kiosks will be under the supervision of Mr W. S. Dustin, which is a sufficient guarantee that every satisfaction will be given. In addition to the horses mentioned yesterday as having arrived, the following have reached Wangamii: — Maud G., Ma° ior Election, Harold Abdallah, Jungle, Belle Gray, Huon Leal, Kirikiriroa, Black Temple, Cedar, Rose Wilkes, Lady Love, Irish Molly, and Lady Park, all from Auckland; Young Victor, Little Jersey and Craigurusky (Stratford), Mrs Fortune (Hawera}, Glenora (Inaha), Rothschild Lad-. (Eltham), Austrez (Otakeho), Victor Huon, and The Boss (Christchurch) Besique (Hawke's Bay), and Miss Wilson and Nga Rima (Hastings).
