A pretty wedding was celebrated at the Primitive Methodist Church yesterday, when the Rev. E. Drake united Mr fi. Humphreys, of Bay of Islands, son of the late Mr John Humphreys, of Maxwelltown, and later of Liverpool Street, Wanganui, in the holy bonds of matrimony to Miss Bessie Williams, daughter of Mr A. Williams, Dublin Street. The bride, who was given away by her brother, Mr E. J. Williams, was attired in a charming dress of cream voile, made in the empire style, and trimmed with cream glassy silk, finished with French knots. She wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a choice shower bouquet. The bridesmaid, Miss Nelly Humphreys, sister of the bridegroom, wore a pretty drees c.f white Indian embroidered muslin, with floral streamers, and white hat, trimmed with autumn leaves. Her bouquet was of choice flowers and autumn leaves. After the ceremony the bridal couple drove to Mr Denton's studio, which was prettily decorated in honour of the event, quite transforming it into "Fairyland." The happy touple were received by Mr Denton, wbo, after taking the bridal photograph, held a reception and a very happy few minutee were spent with employer and all the studio employees.
