Sir, Allow me space through the columns of your paper to contradict a misleading statement in your Wavorley notes of the 19th inst., relative to the position of the Waverley Club and the Taranaki Rugby Union. In your note 3of above date you say that the Waverley Football Club -eoeived a letter from the Taranald Union vefnsing them permission to join that body, wherens t^e resolut'nn carried by the Taranaki Union was: "That until the Wavorley Club can get the con^-nt of the Wan^anui 'Union- to t^e alteration of tho 'loimdaries they regret that they cannot iccede to the request. — I am, etc., E.
