Jacob. ' _ SCHOOL REPORTS.— Queen's Park School — Mr Payne reported that the roll had averaged 5.96 during the past, month, and the attendance 517. Mr Payne regretted to record that Miss Siddells, who has heen on the school staff For nearly four years, hao had to resign on account of illheaith. Mr Payne, this being the last meeting of Ihe present committee, thanked the members for the courtesy and consideration they had -shown him. He forwarded £1 from the school concert fund as a donation to the committee's iundi— r District High Scnool.— Mr Aifcken ed that the roll number was now 435, the ■ attendances being ;imt 287, 398 and 373 daily during theopast three weeksJ The necessity ofr- heatese for- the rooms, away from the school,, without .fire-places, was shown. MfiAitken referred to the fact 1 hat no heating was being provided for in the female teacher's" room, in the new building, which without a fire, T/rauld inwinter be a freezing chajnber. The idea of laying memorial stones in the new building was .suggested. — St: John's — Miss O'Brien reported that the attendance for the past four weeks ha<i fallen considerably, being only 213. out of a roll number j if 250. Mi.ss O'Brien suggested the luncheon hour being curtailed to one hour during winter, a shortening of fifteen minute*. Thanks were extended the"committee for the donation of £2 for pictur.es for the Avails.— Decided that the luncheon horn- be .shortened from May 1 to August.

APPRECIATION. — The committee passed a resolution of appreciation of the services rendered by Miss Siddells, who was resigning her a.«istantship at tb& Queer's Pai-k School on accoun.t of ill-health.

CORRESPONDENCE.— A budget of uninteresting correspondence from %\)e -Education' Board, and other sources was read and received. OUEEN'S PARK PLAYGROUND.— The Chairman reported that the Queen's Parkplayground had been extended, a piece of unoccupied ground adjoining having been included.
