'rAERISON BAND OPEN-AIE CONCERT The Garrison Baud will, weather permitting, play the following programme in Queen s Park on Sunday afternoon next, April 4th, under the baton of Mr A. Wade:— Mn roh, "The Giant" (Wadsworth) ; selection, "the French Maid" (Slaughter): overture, "Zainpa" (Herald); selection, "In This Hour of Softened Splendour" (Pinsuti); selection, "II Crociata" (Meyerbeer); cornet solo, "Farewell" (Lidder); air varie, "A Welsh Melody" (Bimmer); A motet, "Hear Us, O Saviour" (Gounod); B chorus, "Alleluia" (Vincent). The concert will commence promptly at 3 o'clock. The public, who are cordially invited, will be pleased to hear that Mr George Buckley has resumed his old position with the band. ST. PAUL'S YOUNG MENS' BIBLE CLASS. The annual meeting of the above was held last (Tuesday) evpning, in the classroom. Mr J. D. Anderson (leader), presided over a fair attendance of members. ANNUAL REPORT.— The annual report, which was adopted, showed that the class was making steady progress, notwithstanding the fact that a large number of new classes have been formed in the town during the last few years. FINANCE — The treasurer's report showed that financially the class was in a very strong position. ' After all expenses had been paid, there would be a credit balance of some ,£4O. SOCIAL, ATHLETIC, AND DEBATING.—The clas? had a very successful year in these branches. Teams were entered for the hockey competitions and finished the season very creditably. The debating team had an unbroken record of wins, and it is hoped that in the coming season it will be as successful. Cricket has been taken up as an experiment, and although 60 far the club has not shown up very well, Ho doubt its results will be better next season. OFFICER^.— Mr. J. D. Anderson was re-elected leader unopposed, and Mr. Baumgart, sub-leader. Mr H. Naylor was also rc-elecfed unopposed. The following Were elected as a Committee for the ensuing fifteen months: — Messrs Atkinson Henderson, Murchie, H. Reed, R. M. Ritchie, W. Parkes, S. Kernohan, and W. Haase. After the business was over those present adjourned to St. Paul' Hall, and partook of an excellent supper provided by the ladies of the congregation. The class extends a very cordial Invitation to all visitors, and any young men who are not connected with any other Bible Class at present, to come to the Sunday afternoon meetings.
