HOCKEY

ANNUAL MEETING OF CHRIST CHURCH HOCKEY CLUB.

The annual meeting of the above was held last night in the Christ Church school-room. In the absence of the president (Rev. J. A. Jacob), Mr. A. Dunkley presided over about 20 members.

The anual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted, and the following officers were elected for the year: — President, Rev. J. A. Jacob; vice-presi-dents, Messrs. A. A. Gower, Hope Gibbons, T. Blennerhassett and G. VY Palmer; secretary, Mr L. Sheriff; committee, Messrs G. Brown, R. Blennerhassett, J. F. Lampe; selection committee, Rev. J v E. Holloway, and Mr. J. E. Bannister; club captain, Rev. Holloway; delegates to Hockey Association, Mesrs. Sheriff and Bannister. It was decided to enter a team in the 1 hursday, and a senior and junior in the Saturday competition. After discussing the question it was resolved to form a Ladies' Hockey Club, ladies to send their names in to the secretary as soon as possible. The meeting then adjourned till Tuesday next, at 7.30 p.m., when the teams will be allotted.
