LEAP YEAR DANCE.

Last evening a leap year dance was held at the Fire Brigade flail, and proved very successful, there being an exceedingly large attendance, and all present thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The committee consisted of Mrs Beard and Misses Herd, Gott, and Fox (secretary), and they had made excellent arrangements, and the success achieved must have been very gratifying to the ladies above mentioned, who worked so hard to secure the enjoyment of their guests. The M.C.'s were Mrs Beard and Miss Herd/ who carried out their duties very ably, and the music supplied by Mr G. Copley was all that could be desired. An excellent supper was provided by the ladies, and this was done full justice to. Dancing was kept up until 3 o'clock, when a very enjoyable gathering came to an end.
