Escape of a Prisoner
AUCKLAND, October 3
John Bishop, a fireman, sentenced to two years at Wellington a month ago, f escaped from custody to-day while being conveyed with seven others from the south; to Waiotapu. He was missing when the warders aboard the Rarawa, on which the -prisoners travelled, marshalled the prisoners"' to come ashore.
