■Press Asßociation.--Telegraph.— Copyright. Received October 2, 9.*5 a.m. SYDNEY, QetiSber 2. A prominent trader, resident' on the island of Malaita, is visiting Sydney. He complains of the methods of British warships and officials in meting out punishment to the murderers of white settlers. The murders are not avenged as they should be, the actual murderers being allowed to escape. He compares the failure of the British with the success of German methods in dealing with crime in the islands.
