A NEW LADIES' TAILOEING FIRM. An announcement iv our over-leader column conveys the information that Siegels' of Wellington, ladies' tailors, will open business in Wanganui on Wednesday next. They have taken premises in the Avenue, opposite Chavannos' Hotel, and inform us that they will guarantee lady customers a perfect nt, the very best materials, latest style, and reasonable prices.

There are many people living in town who would like to get out into the suburbs where they can get more room for gardening or for keeping fowls. The r ifficulty in the way often is the selling of their own place first. These people have a good chance offered them by Mr John D. Brechin, as per his advertisement on page 8.

The Wanganui Spring Horse Fair will be held on Saturday, 10th October when about 200 horses, oi all classes, will' be offered. The entry comprises a number of first-class draught horses, also a number of unbroken horses on account of leading breeders.
