Averting a Pestilence.
CALCUTTA, September 3G
Although the Government warned the dwellers on the banks of the Musi to escape the floods, thousands were downed, chiefly women and children. Elephants are being employed to drag bodies out of the sticky mud in order to avoid a pestilence.
