When at a height of 6000 ieet above Dusseldorf, a sudden expansion of gas Tipped Captain Aberon's balloon, which plunged headlong for 2000 feet. The torn envelope then spreading, formed a sort of parachute, and Captain Aberon and Lieutenant Goetzheim alighted on their feet, greatly to the reKef of the agitated crowd.
