NEW YORK, September 29. President Roosevelt, in reply to Mr. Bryan, upholds the sincerity of his administration and prosecution of the Trusts. Referring to the campaign funds he declares that when" tlv£ Trust contributions were given, it was with no implied promise of immunity. were not as bad ac the silver mine millionaires, who gave large individual contributions supporting Bryan's first two campaigns for the specfic reason that free 6ilver would enhance the value of their properties.
