6 (Por United Press Association).' DUNEDIN, September 28

An inquest on the body of Thomas Carr, aged 24 years, who died as the result of injuries sustained in consequence of an explosion on the Moana at Port Chalmers on September Ist, opened" to-day. No evidence was given as to how the explosion occurred, but statements were made to the effect "that a tin containing, a gallon or a gallon and a half of benzine was in the storeroom at the time.
