COURSING
The announcement that a meeting was Jbo be held of those interested in the formatioTj of a Coursing- Club in Wanganui has caused quite a stir amongst followers of this splendid sport. In England and in Australia coursing is a popular winter paptinne, and -in the South Island of New Zealand it is booming. Judging by the enthusiasm oeing displayed by those who have the matter in hand here there should be no difficulty in forming a strong club. There are a large number of owners of good dogs in this district, and there are plenty of hares. When the meetings are well managed, and the hares run strongly the sport is jaost exciting. Those interested are reminded that the meeting is .called for to-morrow night at 8 o'clock at Hodson's tea rooms.
