Sad Drowning Accident.

AUCKLAND, February 19. A young 1 man named Alec McDougall wa3 drowned at Orewa yesterday, whilst trying to save his wife. Deceased, who was spending a holiday at Orewa, went out with his wife to bathe in a creek. The latter becoming exhausted, called to him for help. Although he could scarcely swim he rushed out to her, both sinking to eether. On coming up again, the wife Irasped a log while her husband was carried down stream. The wife eventually ewam ashore. At the inquest, a verdict of accidental death was returned. Deceased leaves two young children.
